Are you tired of seeing your heating and energy bills go up and up each and every year? Well if you’re anything like me you are, and I did something about it to stop those greedy companies from taking my money for basic living essentials.

After doing some research online to try and find out the best ways to save money and many people suggested simply cutting down on your usage, restricting heating to one room or only taking a hot bath once or twice a week.

It just seemed silly to sacrifice these things to save money, so I continued to look for another alternative. After speaking to a couple of friends who were in similar situations we considered a number of other options such as a local area heating strike and others but ultimately decided this probably wouldn’t change things.

A couple of days later, one of my work colleagues mentioned that her brother works for a building and joinery company, the point being that they specialise in renewable energy services that save you money in your home on water, heating and fuel. This seemed like a great option and it wasn’t long until I gave them a call. I went the whole hog, getting solar panels, new insulation for my home, grey water recycling systems and a rainwater harvesting system.

Whilst this was an expensive job initially, it’s been two years since they were all installed and I’ve now managed to save a tidy sum on my bills, meaning the equipment and insulation has paid for itself, it’s still in perfect working order to continue to save me money, and I couldn’t be happier saving money on my bills now.
