How to: Create lots of light with a Ceiling Lamp

Posted on

One of the most common questions a few of my interior design friends have been asking me recently is how to cut down on the amount of power being used in their home designs; the large crystal chandeliers that were used in the last design certainly liked guzzling power!

With the environment being of grave concern to the upcoming generations more and more clients are taking the route of green living over traditional functionality; this does not have to be the caseyou can have both!

One of the trending fashions for 2013 is a single light mounted on a mirror that reflects all the light that would usually be spread upwards to the ceiling to be reflected back down onto a surface such as a dinner table or kitchen workspace.

This means you are not only saving on the cost of running more than one bulb [1*35w] (the chandelier I referred to earlier uses 30
bulbs [30*60w = 1800w]) but you are also creating a style of mood lighting that should improve your feelings when you are at home.

If you are looking to create a similar idea you can find great quality ceiling lights you just have to think and use your imagination!
